“One Of The Best” – Triple H Reacts To Major WWE Title Change
Paul “Triple H” Levesque has lauded the efforts of a newly crowned champion.
The city of Lyon in France was host to the August 29 taping of SmackDown, as WWE nears the business end of its European tour.
On Sunday, August 31, it will be the Clash in Paris PLE, followed by the September 1 Monday Night RAW to conclude the overseas tour dates.
On last week’s SmackDown, it was announced that Sami Zayn would challenge Solo Sikoa for the United States Championship in Lyon.
As scheduled, the match was held as the main event, with Sikoa joined by his MFTs for his title defense against Zayn.
The bout witnessed great back-and-forth action, and as expected, the MFTs make their ringside presence felt, taking shots at Zayn with the referee distracted.
This prompted Jimmy Uso to interject himself, followed by The Samoan Werewolf Jacob Fatu ensuring the MFTs disappeared from ringside.
With the fight now evenly matched, Zayn took control and hit Sikoa with two Helluva kicks to win the US Championship for the first time.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H shared a congratulatory post on social media with the newly-crowned champion.
He captioned it:

Roman Reigns Rejected Many Of Triple H’s Storyline Pitches
Former Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns recently appeared on the What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon podcast.
The six-time World Champion got candid about various topics, including his struggle with leukemia and life outside wrestling.
In his chat with The Billion Dollar Princess, the Original Tribal Chief recalled rejecting several storylines pitched by Triple H.
Paul, you know, he would come up with all kinds of stuff when we were in the middle of the title reign, and I’d reject a lot of like, or I’d make it my own, right? I don’t like low-hanging fruit.
Yeah, and that’s from a promos standpoint, a lot of those cheaper digs. I feel a little more sophisticated than that. I feel like my communication can be a little more intellectual.
It is refreshing to see how Reigns’ years working in the business has transformed into an individual, who is in charge of the direction his career should take.
