Roman Reigns Confesses Rejecting Many Triple H WWE Ideas — Here’s Why

Triple H gives Roman Reigns the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on WWE Raw 2015

Roman Reigns has been in the industry long enough to understand the type of path his character should pursue.

Even now, The OTC is working as a babyface, but he has maintained his stoic character. More often than not, he is showcased as an invincible babyface against the dominant heels.

In fact, some hope that WWE will book Bronson Reed to massacre Roman Reigns during their singles match at Clash in Paris to show that Reigns, at last, is not invincible.

Roman Reigns has rejected Triple H’s ideas

Recently, The OTC appeared on What’s Your Story? With Stephanie McMahon. He spoke about quite a few elements of his life, such as why he chose not to walk in John Cena’s footsteps, why he rejected The Billion Dollar Princess’ pitches, and also, why he rejected some of Triple H’s ideas.

According to Reigns, he wanted to keep his character to what he resonated with and not someone he did not know at all. Therefore, he would always keep his promos intellectual and reject any ideas that did not align with his views.

Paul, you know, he would come up with all kinds of stuff when we were in the middle of the title reign, and I’d reject a lot of like, or I’d make it my own, right? I don’t like low-hanging fruit.

Yeah, and that’s from a promos standpoint, a lot of those cheaper digs. I feel a little more sophisticated than that. I feel like my communication can be a little more intellectual.

Despite not being the Undisputed WWE Champion anymore, Roman Reigns still remains the face of the company and a top ticket-selling asset.
