Triple H Has Different Views From Vince McMahon On Key WWE Issue

Triple H Vince McMahon Stephanie WWE

A new report has shed some light on how Triple H running WWE is a lot different than Vince McMahon in some ways.

As WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque is essentially running the show when it comes to WWE as a company. It is up to Triple H to book the matches that air on Raw, Smackdown, and major WWE Premium Live Events while also overseeing the talent roster as well as the rest of the staff.

Prior to July 2022, it was former WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon’s job to oversee everything in WWE for about 40 years. Following Vince’s “retirement” in July 2022, Triple H took over along with WWE President Nick Khan.

While Vince came back again in January 2023, Vince McMahon has been removed from WWE by the Endeavor group that owns WWE now as TKO Group. Part of the reason for that is because a former WWE employee named Janel Grant has accused Vince McMahon of sexual assault and sex trafficking, which also implicated others in the company.

In addition to the damning sexual assault and sex trafficking lawsuit, Vince McMahon has also paid off multiple women over $20 million in the last two years due to his “hush money payments” scandal.

Triple H Runs WWE Differently Than Vince McMahon

In this era of WWE with Triple H in charge, the company is doing different things like allowing Shayna Baszler to compete at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport X event on Thursday, April 4th in Philadelphia just days before WrestleMania 40 takes place.

According to Dave Meltzer in a Wrestling Observer Daily Update, “It was a Paul Levesque decision and that Paul Levesque has a different view on these things than Vince McMahon had.”

Bloodsport is different than traditional pro wrestling. They try to prevent a more fight-based atmosphere, so matches can only be won by knockout or submission, and the ring ropes are removed for the bouts.

It is also expected that there will likely be additional announcements soon about other WWE superstars working the GCW shows that week.

While commenting on Twitter/X, Baszler commented that she was born into something like Bloodsport, which means she should be a natural when competing at that event.
