John Cena has only 4 appearances left before he retires from wrestling.

The former Undisputed WWE Champion faced AJ Styles at Crown Jewel in an epic showdown, bringing nostalgia for fans who journeyed with them through their 2016-17 rivalry.

During the match, both wrestlers paid tribute to some of their greatest rivals in WWE and TNA by using their finishing moves on each other.

Cena ultimately secured the win by hitting a Tombstone Piledriver and following it up with an Attitude Adjustment for the pinfall.

According to various reports, both wrestlers received a standing ovation from their peers backstage.

Meanwhile, Triple H and WWE have the task of finding four suitable opponents for Cena to end his retirement tour on a high note.

Triple H Addresses The Issue With Fans Demanding Popular Names As John Cena’s Opponents

As usual, Triple H participated in the post-show chat with the panel comprising Big E, Peter Rosenberg, and Jackie Redmond.

The fans at the RAC Arena chanted throughout the discussion, even singing Edge’s theme song. They have also called for WWE to set up a match featuring Dave Batista against John Cena.

Triple H admitted that it has been difficult for the promotion to fit many names in Cena’s retirement tour.

The second John said he was coming back to do this retirement, everybody, that — from top to bottom, looking to sort of have — one last moment there with him, you know what I mean? And to have some meaningful thing. And John touched so many careers, was across so many people, helped so many talent out along the way, or had moments with him. They all just want to be a part of it, and I get it. He just can’t do it with everybody.

Dominik Mysterio is a top contender to be one of Cena’s final opponents. Meanwhile, Edge is signed with AEW. Batista is retired and has a successful Hollywood career and is unlikely to return.
