Current WWE Champion Dares John Cena To Come For Their Title

John Cena WWE Last Time

Could John Cena have another side quest to complete before retirement?

Despite a glittering career that will surely one day land him in the Hall of Fame, there’s one famous WWE championship that John Cena has never won. Although he’s dominated WWE for an entire generation, Cena has never been Intercontinental Champion.

With retirement just around the corner, some fans have wondered whether Cena will try to put that right before he finally hangs up his boots. What’s more, it seems that current Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio is ready for the challenge.

During an appearance on the Rap On Wrestling podcast, Mysterio said that he’s ready and waiting if Cena wants to come and find him.

“I mean, he can try, and what’s that thing he says? If you want some, come get some. You know what? John, you know where I’m at. If you want to come finish your Grand Slam quest, these little side quests you’re on, I’m here all day. Every Monday, you know where I’ll be.”

WWE Won’t Forget John Cena

In a new interview, Triple H reiterated that John Cena will always be part of WWE, despite his in-ring retirement. The Game said that Cena “isn’t going anywhere,” and will remain firmly embedded within the company.

Triple H went on to say that he’s delighted that Cena gets to end his career on his own terms — a luxury very few in wrestling get to enjoy.

John Cena will be back in action at Clash In Paris, where he’s set to face Logan Paul. From there, Cena is expected to continue his feud with Brock Lesnar, which will reportedly lead to a match at Wrestlepalooza in September.

As for Dominik Mysterio, he’s due to defend the Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles on the September 1 edition of Raw.
