Top WWE Star Dominates Merchandise Sales

Cody Rhodes LA Knight WWE Raw

Fans sing his song and they also put their money where their mouth is as Cody Rhodes continues to dominate merch sales in WWE.

Cody Rhodes returned to the company at WrestleMania 38 to great acclaim. Since then he has rode his wave of popularity to the main event of WrestleMania 39 and despite losing to Roman Reigns in the main event, many see Rhodes as the favourite to finally dethrone Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

Fightful Select has now reported that they have been able to confirm that Cody Rhodes outsold generic WWE merchandise at recent live events which is no mean feat. Generic WWE merchandise includes basic logo t-shirts as well as event-specific merchandise and replica title belts.

Rhodes is said to do very well with his weight belts, which are described as being a high ticket item – they are normally priced online by the company at $114.99.

John Cena continues to be a big merchandise mover and is said to have beaten Cody Rhodes in sales on a couple of recent occasions but in general, it’s Rhodes or WWE’s generic merchandise topping the sales charts.

Cody Rhodes looking for in-ring success in WWE

Rhodes has had a rollercoaster few weeks having won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship with Jey Uso before quickly losing that title back to Damian Priest and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day thanks to the interference of Jimmy Uso.

The American Nightmare will look to get back to winning ways when he clashes one-on-one with SeƱor Money In The Bank Damian Priest at Crown Jewel.
