Tony Khan Gives Insight Into The Elite’s New AEW Deals

The Elite AEW

Tony Khan has opened up about The Elite signing new contracts with AEW.

The news broke ahead of the 200th episode of AEW Dynamite that after prolonged negotiations The Elite quartet of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Hangman Adam Page have signed new deals to stay with AEW.

All four men were fundamental in the formation of the company with Omega and The Bucks taking on EVP roles alongside Cody Rhodes. The departure of Rhodes and his subsequent success in WWE had led many to wonder if any of his former teammates would follow suit but that is not the case, at least for now.

Speaking on the pre-All In media call, Tony Khan discussed The Elite’s new deals with AEW and suggested that due to injuries, the group’s contracts won’t all expire at the same time:

“I have to go back and look at the paperwork. I think that the lengths are a little bit different, but the start dates are also a little bit different too.

“People had missed time due to injuries at different points in their contracts, so they were expiring at different points too, so it’s not like everybody’s deals were expiring on the same date, so I don’t think they all end on exactly the same day, but everybody signed a multi-year deal and is going to be here for several years and I’ve had really good talks with all of them. I have a lot of respect for them.”

Tony Khan confirms “multi-year deals” for The Elite

Tony Khan then discussed his relationship with The Elite and noted that he’s excited that they chose to remain All Elite:

“I’m actually going to be filming something with Kenny later today that I’m really looking forward to. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with Kenny, but really recently, I’ve gotten to bond with him a lot and enjoyed it.

“The Young Bucks and Hangman Page, I have so much respect for them, we’ll be seeing them very soon as well. I’m literally going as soon as we get off this call, to film something with Kenny, since you asked about him, it made me think of it, and I am really excited that they’re all going to stay.

“I don’t think the dates all line up exactly, but the idea is the same with all four deals, that we want them all here to be multiple years in AEW, and that’s why we did multi-year deals at all.”

The Elite will all be in action in big matches at All In on August 27th with The Young Bucks match with FTR for the AEW Tag Team Championship still set to go ahead. Kenny Omega and Adam Page will team up with Kota Ibushi to take on the team of Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Konosuke Takeshita.
