Tony Khan Dismisses Harsh Kevin Nash AEW Criticism
Tony Khan has had his say on WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash’s recent comments about Will Ospreay and it’s safe to say the AEW boss does not agree.
Will Ospreay fired back at comments made by Triple H on Dynamite that caused a storm with some fans and as it turns out Kevin Nash. Nash – a close personal friend of WWE who had most of his success during the heated war between WWE and WCW – didn’t like what he heard and said as much on his podcast:
If you got the balls to fu**ing take a shot at the fu**ing boss’s wife and then you got you got the balls to fu**ing show up and ask for a fu**ing job, he better fu**ing be able to have the balls to take whatever he’s gonna dish.
Everything’s a work. Is he an exceptional talent for that style? Absolutely. Is there a place for him in this fu**ing business for Will? Absolutely. Paul didn’t mention him by name, therefore there’s no reason to get ass hurt. It shows why he’s an indie-rific guy. It shows why he didn’t make the move. He’s not smart to the business. Jade was. Jade was smart. Look at Jade.
Tony Khan Responds To Kevin Nash Criticism
Speaking on Z100, Tony Khan was asked about Nash’s criticisms of one of his top stars and while remaining very respectful to Nash, he could not disagree more:
I think Kevin Nash was a great wrestler. His opinions on wrestling I’m not sure I agree with them. He’s had some takes on Will Ospreay that I definitely don’t agree with. I’d be remiss if I don’t bring that up. I think Will Ospreay is one of the best young wrestlers in the world.
We’re really fortunate to have Will Ospreay in AEW. He’s been coming in week in and week out and working so hard, having great matches. Both pay-per-views he’s been on he’s had these classic matches against Takeshita at AEW Revolution and against Bryan Danielson over a week ago at AEW Dynasty. I think Will Ospreay is so phenomenal.
I’ve heard criticisms from Kevin that I don’t necessarily agree with about Will. Some of his opinions about current wrestling I just don’t agree with. I wish him the best and all the respect in the world to him.
Kevin Nash also recently made the bizarre claim that Will Ospreay should get in shape as he continues to try and attract listeners as he talks about the AEW star.
