Toni Storm Gets Her Hollywood Ending At AEW Revolution

Toni Storm

Toni Storm and Mariah May have lived out the story of Hollywood dreams over the past year but only one woman could stand tall at AEW Revolution.

At Grand Slam Australia, “Timeless” Toni Storm defeated Mariah May to claim the AEW Women’s World Championship. The victory not only capped off an emotional homecoming for Storm but represented the culmination of a journey back from the depths of despair that engulfed her following All In.

Back in August, it was May who had her hand raised in victory after beating a Storm all over Wembley Stadium. This loss sent Storm into a spiral where she lost high-profile matches in Japan and Mexico after going on hiatus from AEW. So when she returned to the company in December, she went back to basics in her “Rockstar” persona as a young rookie making her way in the industry.

Over the next several weeks Storm enjoyed a rapid rise and earned a shot at May at Grand Slam Australia after winning a Casino Gauntlet Match. Not that she was able to hide her true flamboyant self for long, and in a face-to-face confrontation on Collision “Timeless” Toni Storm returned.

At Revolution, Storm promised a Hollywood ending for her and Mariah May as they clashed one more time for the AEW Women’s World Championship in one of the most violent women’s matches ever seen in the US.

Toni Storm Watches For The Shoe

Storm – dressed as Bette Davis – was attacked by May during her entrance and the battle was on. Tables, chains, chairs, and glass were all used but in true Hollywood fashion, Toni Storm was able to use the bloody shoe that May had attacked with her months ago to nail the challenger in the head before driving May through a table with Storm Zero for the win.

As the champion lay over an unconscious Mariah May, the words “The End” appeared on the screen indicating that this true epic between friends turned fiercest enemies is now over.
