TNA President, Carlos Silva, has broken his silence on Ash by Elegance’s retirement.

The 36-year-old defeated Jacy Jayne and Masha Slamovich at NXT Heatwave to win back the Knockouts World Championship for her promotion.

She was scheduled to defend the title against Slamovich at Victory Road, instead she relinquished it, leaving the fans perturbed by her decision.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer revealed that Ash is no longer physically able to compete, urging fans to not speculate.

As a result, the company was forced to organize a battle royal to determine which two women would compete for the vacated championship.

The singles match was ultimately fought between NXT’s Kelani Jordan and TNA’s Lei Ying Lee. Jordan shockingly beat Lee to bring the belt back to WWE.

Ash by Elegance is a former WWE star, where she competed under the name Dana Brooke, and served as its multi-time 24/7 Champion.

Carlos Silva Discusses Ash By Elegance’s TNA Future

Carlos Silva has spoken for the first time since Ash by Elegance vacated the Knockouts World Championship at Victory Road.

Silva extended support to the former champion, stating that she always had a home at Total Nonstop Action.

Ash and I had a nice set of time when we were recently together in Edmonton [for TNA Victory Road]. What I can tell you is exactly what everyone has said; she’s not medically cleared to wrestle. And so, she’s going to step away. But I think she’s really appreciative of TNA, appreciative of the locker room and working with all of us. I told Ash that she’s got a home here at TNA, whenever she decides, whenever it all gets sorted out; she knows that.

And so we’ll continue to do stuff with Ash and talk about it and figure it out as a good teammate. And she’s great. I think she’s brought just some great energy and attitude to the ring. And her having the TNA belt, I know it was a short time, but I think it did elevate everything. The Elegance Brand got elevated. We hope she’s not going to go too far away and we’ll be able to do some stuff together. But I think we just have to give her a little bit of time. And she knows that she can pick up the phone and call or text us anytime, so we can figure it out.
