Tiffany Stratton “Stock Went Up” Following NXT No Mercy Loss

Tiffany Stratton NXT

Tiffany Stratton had a star-making performance despite coming up short at NXT No Mercy.

Stratton failed to become a two-time NXT Women’s Champion at the Premium Live Event, losing to champion Becky Lynch in the main event of the show. However, many are singing the praises of the former champion in the Extreme Rules match.

NXT commentator Booker T had one of the best seats in the house for the title match, witnessing the main event at ringside. Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, the 6-time World Champion believed that Stratton was not upstaged by Becky Lynch:

“Tiffany [Stratton] brought it, though,” Booker T said. “Tiffany brought it. Inside and out, she brought it. She didn’t look like she didn’t belong in that ring with Becky Lynch at all. She was 100 percent a star at the end of the night, as far as I’m concerned.

The Hall of Famer continued, describing how the former champion continued the match despite being busted open early on in the match:

“She went out there and she let it all hang out. She got bruised, battered, and torn too. She had a big laceration over her, I think, her left eye. And that cut was deep, too. It was really deep, and she didn’t let that deter her at all. It didn’t affect her focus, intent, or anything like that throughout that match. She stayed the course. Everything that she landed, she landed it beautifully. It was five star. It was a five-star match as far as I’m concerned. And Tiffany Stratton’s stock still went up even in a loss. It was a great match.”

Tiffany Stratton Predicts Main Roster Success

Following the standout performance, it only feels like a matter of time before viewers of Raw and SmackDown will see Tiffany Stratton as a permanent fixture of the WWE main roster. Reflecting on the loss to Lynch, Stratton revealed that it will only be a matter of time before she follows in the footsteps of Lynch and is the main event of WrestleMania.
