The Young Bucks Backstage At AEW Collision
The Young Bucks have ventured to AEW Collision in the wake of the news that CM Punk has been fired by AEW.
CM Punk is no longer part of AEW after he was “terminated with cause effective immediately” by the company seemingly for his part in a backstage incident with Jack Perry at All In.
AEW announced the news via a statement just a few short hours before Collision is due to go live in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois. PWInsider has now reported that some interesting names are backstage at that show as Bryan Danielson and The Young Bucks are in attendance.
Danielson has been out of action following an injury at Forbidden Door with a recent report shedding light on how much longer he might be out of action. But The Young Bucks being there is sure to raise eyebrows with some.
The Young Bucks strangers to AEW Collision
The Young Bucks have never appeared on an episode of Collision with that show seeming to be the home for CM Punk in the company while The Elite stuck to Dynamite. There was believed to be no real resolution between the two parties following their own altercation back at All Out in 2022. However, all would have been backstage at pay-per-view events since Punk’s return to the company in the summer of 2023.
The Young Bucks will have been in Chicago anyway due to All Out taking place in the city on Sunday, September 3rd. On that show, Matt and Nick Jackson are sure to receive an interesting reaction in Punk’s home city when they team with FTR to take on Bullet Club Gold.
