The Rock Thanks WWE Stars For Training Prior To WrestleMania

The Rock WWE Hall Of Fame

The Rock has acknowledged some talented WWE veterans for helping him get ready for his WrestleMania match.

At WrestleMania 40 Saturday in Philadelphia, the main event was a tag team match featuring The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns & The Rock facing Cody Rhodes & Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Those four men went on to have a 45-minute tag team match (the second longest WrestleMania main event ever) that ended when Rock beat Cody clean after a Rock Bottom and People’s Elbow.

For Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, it was his first official WWE match in eight years, but that match eight years ago was a simple Rock Bottom to Erick Rowan in a six-second match. The Rock’s actual last match was 11 years earlier when he lost the WWE Title to John Cena at WrestleMania 29 in 2013. The Rock suffered multiple injuries in that match, including a serious groin injury.

The good news this time around is that The Rock left WrestleMania without any injuries. To get ready for the match, The Rock took part in about three months of training in the ring at his houses.

To get Rock ready, three veteran WWE wrestlers were sent to help him get in shape. They were the Gallus trio of Mark Coffey, Wolfgang and Joe Coffey.

On Twitter/X, The Rock aka The Final Boss reacted to a tweet by Joe while thanking the Gallus boys for their help.

Appreciate all the effort, ideas and hard work boys. Til next time. Keep kicking ass and see ya down the road. – Final Boss

The Scottish trio known as Gallus have been part of WWE since 2018 starting with a run in NXT UK and on the main NXT brand since 2022. The duo of Mark & Wolfgang are former NXT Tag Team Champions.

The Rock Is Coming Back To WWE For Cody Rhodes

On the Raw After WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes was in the ring celebrating the Undisputed WWE Title that he won at WrestleMania 40 Sunday. During that celebration, The Rock aka The Final Boss confronted the new champion to warn him that while Rock was going away for now (to film a movie), he would be back and he was coming for Cody Rhodes. Rock also warned Cody on Instagram with a strong message as well.

While nothing is confirmed yet, it is believed that WWE is planning a match between Cody Rhodes and The Rock for WrestleMania 41 in 2025. Obviously, there’s a long way to go until then and as WWE fans, plans can always change.
