When Will WWE Have The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes Take Place

The Rock punches Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania

When will The Rock challenge Cody Rhodes?

Night two of WrestleMania 40 ended with Cody Rhodes celebrating with the Undisputed WWE Championship afetr ending the record-breaking run of Roman Reigns.

However, a night earlier, Rhodes ended the show looking at the lights after being pinned by The Rock. The pair have been at eachother’s throats for weeks, and fans have wondered whether WWE is planning a huge match in the not too distant future.

That speculation went into overdrive on Raw, when The Rock confronted Cody Rhodes, promising that their story is only just beginning. Rock said that although he’s taking a break, he’ll be back for the new champion, before putting something into his hand.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer broke down the segment, with the latter revealing that The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes is scheduled for WrestleMania 41.

Alvarez: “But as I’m scrolling through, it’s like, that’s all everybody’s talking about is ‘what did the Rock give Cody? What do you think he gave him?’ That’s what people love. They love a mystery. And they have to follow the show every week to find out what’s going on in the story.

And this is going to be a long-term mystery because Rock is leaving, but I thought it was very, very clever what they did because clearly, they’re doing Rock and Cody one-on-one. I mean, that was made patently obvious in this segment here.”

Meltzer: “Well, that is certainly the plan right now. Yes. And not for a long time. Next year’s WrestleMania.”

The pair siggueted that The Rock could face Rhodes in 2025, and the Roman Reigns in 2026.

Cody Rhodes Breaks Another Record

WrestleMania proved to be a record-breaking weekend for Cody Rhodes. As well as capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship, the American Nightmare notched up over $1 million-worth of merchdise sales, breaking his own record from 2023.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns has already set his sights on getting revenge for the defeat.
