The Rock Only Has To Do One Thing To Face John Cena
John Cena vs. The Rock: The WWE Universe’s dream match
The Never Seen 17 faced many of his past rivals during his retirement tour, but The Great One isn’t one of them. Fans have been dying to see the two legends share the ring for one last time. Even WWE legends like Rikishi wish to see them have a final dance in the middle of the ring.
Cena’s retirement match is set for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. Speaking on a recent episode of his Off The Top podcast, the 59-year-old WWE Hall of Famer stated he wants to see Rock retire Cena.
For me? (…) Now the one thing that people probably never seen and would love to see. They’ve seen it back in the day, but I think at this point, I think The Final Boss and John Cena… I can go to sleep then… At the end of the day, they’re gonna say, ‘Whoa, Cena’s last match was against Rock.’ When you say The Rock, ‘Oh, there it is.’ But if it’s, ‘John Cena had his last match with Edge,’ does it carry a lot more weight?
The Rock vs John Cena Doesn’t Need Any Storyline To Happen
WWE legend Kevin Nash talked about the possibility of The Brahma Bull returning to WWE to face Cena for the last time on his Kliq This podcast. He discussed that if it happens, then WWE doesn’t need to whip up a special storyline, given that these two megastars already share a ton of history together. The only thing Rock has to do is show up and demand a match with The Last Real Champion.
It doesn’t take much to put a package together if Cena having two two matches left and Rock saying, “Well, I’m one of them.” (From 2:38 to 2:51)
