Steve Austin Names WWE Star That “Will Ascend To Higher Level”

When it comes to reaching the top of WWE, Steve Austin knows all about it and has a guy in mind that he thinks will reach a higher level in the company.

During WrestleMania 25 weekend in 2009, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The man that inducted him was WWE’s Executive Chairman Vince McMahon, who of course spent many years as Austin’s on-screen rival. When Vince introduced Austin that night, he called Stone Cold the “greatest WWE superstar of all time.”

There might be some people that question the claim about Steve Austin since he worked for WWE as a full-time wrestler from 1996 to 2003 and missed a whole year due to injury, but when it comes to driving WWE business, nobody was ever hotter than Stone Cold when he was on top of WWE. That’s why Vince said what he said.

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Steve Austin talked about how he thinks LA Knight could be somebody that reaches a higher (main event?) level in WWE.

“I got a text message from him a while back, and I’m so bad about returning calls. My wife gets on me about it all the time, I’ve got a lot of heat. But I did talk to him before that one text and I told him, ‘Hey man, just make sure your cardio is supreme and go do you.'”

“That guy can talk a blue streak, he’s a great worker, he’s got a good look, he’s got a great energy. I think he’s doing great. He can ascend to a higher level, and I think he will.”

While the legendary Steve Austin is clearly an LA Knight fan, there are early reports that LA Knight is considered a “leading candidate” to win the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase in July.
