Potential Spoiler On WWE Raw Star Appearing On SmackDown
One of the biggest names from WWE Monday Night Raw is expected to be on SmackDown.
The storyline between The Bloodline’s Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes is expected to heat up this Friday on the March 1st edition of SmackDown.
At WWE’s Elimination Chamber PLE last Saturday, Rhodes and his Raw ally, the World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins, were guests on the Grayson Waller Effect talk show. While on that show, Cody issued a challenge to The Rock for a match anywhere he wants and any time he wants.
Rhodes issued that challenge because The Rock disrespected him by slapping Rhodes in the face at the WrestleMania 40 Press Event.
While Reigns, The Rock and rest of The Bloodline will be on Smackdown, it has been reported by PWInsider Elite that Rollins is expected to be at Smackdown this week too. The report notes that what Rollins might be doing on the show isn’t confirmed yet, but he will likely be involved with The Rock’s appearance.
It hasn’t been confirmed if Cody Rhodes is going to be on Smackdown as well.
While Cody issued a challenge for a match with The Rock, the expectation has been that it would be a tag team match at WrestleMania 40 Night 1 with Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins teaming up against The Rock & Roman Reigns. It has been reported previously that The Rock pitched the tag team match.
The Rock Appearing On Smackdown Throughout March
As the Road to WrestleMania 40 continues, WWE fans can expect to see more of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson throughout March. The Rock has been advertised for Smackdown episodes on March 1st in Glendale, Arizona, March 8th in Dallas, and March 15th in Memphis.
The presence of The Rock should lead to a consistent television ratings boost due to his star power outside of the wrestling world and as the excitement builds to WrestleMania.
