Shayna Baszler Discusses Changes & Creative Frustrations In WWE

Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler has opened up on how she felt she reason to question her spot on the WWE roster, which caused frustration with the direction she was headed.

Being a two-time NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler soon went looking for gold on the main roster, although her first attempt didn’t go to plan when she lost to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36.

Since then Baszler has seemed to have no extended period of drive in her storyline, and often formed makeshift tag teams with the likes of Nia Jax and Natalya, although this now seems to be coming to an end.

Speaking with Rick Ucchino on Bleav in Pro Wrestling podcast, Shayna Baszler has opened on some of the frustrations when there wasn’t an exact direction for her, and how things seem to be looking up under the new regime.

Obviously the dream for anybody that gets into this business is like win the title on a big show and have your moment. It just so happens, you know, I don’t even think it’s as far back as 2020, but real recently there’s been this kind of like, I don’t know… what am I doing right now? You know? And then that gauntlet match came about and it was like, okay, let’s go. And it was like the perfect time of like, this change is about, right? Change is in the air.

Having won a gauntlet match to become the number one contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Shayna Baszler will now challenge Liv Morgan for the title at Clash At The Castle this coming Saturday.
