Shawn Michaels named some top WWE stars he’d like to see compete in NXT.

Cross-pollination between WWE’s main roster and NXT continues to grow as main roster stars like The Judgment Day, Baron Corbin, and Mustafa Ali have featured heavily on NXT programming in recent weeks.

In fact, Dominik Mysterio shocked the world when he captured the NXT North American Championship from Wes Lee in controversial fashion on the July 18th episode of NXT. He’s set to defend the title in a triple threat match at Great American Bash on July 30th, and The Judgment Day’s presence seems to be helping boost NXT ratings for multiple weeks in a row.

Baron Corbin is also set to compete at Great American Bash after making his return to NXT back in May. Corbin will go head to head against Gable Steveson, who will be making his in-ring debut on the show.

What Main Roster Stars Does Shawn Michaels Want In WWE NXT?

Speaking on a media call ahead of Great American Bash, Shawn Michaels was asked if he had specific names in mind as far as more main roster talent he’d like to see compete in NXT. According to a report from John Alba, Michaels called out The Brawling Brutes, Imperium, and current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens as stars he’d like to work with.

Elsewhere on the media call, Michaels gave an update on Wendy Choo as she continues to recover from injury. While she is making progress, Michaels made it clear that the company wants her to be 100% ready before she returns to in-ring action.
