Seth Rollins’ Next WWE World Title Match Announced
Seth Rollins has revealed the next challenger to his World Heavyweight Championship and one WWE star has not taken the news well.
Seth Rollins was riding high after winning WarGames at Survivor Series but did not get to enjoy the moment long as he was visibly angry at CM Punk making his return to WWE after ten years away.
The World Heavyweight Champion addressed that briefly on Raw in Nashville as Seth Rollins told fans he wasn’t wasting any time on “that hypocrite” in reference to CM Punk. Rollins said he had the itch to be a fighting champion again following WarGames and that brought out Drew McIntyre.
Seth Rollins Gives Jey Uso A Shot At WWE Gold
Drew McIntyre offered a handshake to Rollins for his Survivor Series victory which was accepted. McIntyre seemed to take responsibility for his failure to beat Rollins at Crown Jewel for the title and asked for another rematch. While Seth Rollins said McIntyre deserved a rematch, he already had plans to defend his title on the 4th of December edition of Raw.
McIntyre asked him who that match was against and a hesitant Rollins admitted that he was putting his gold on the line against Jey Uso. At that news, McIntyre snapped and headbutted Rollins but was stopped in his tracks by Uso who came to the champion’s aid and they cleared McIntyre from the ring.
Later in the show, McIntyre came face-to-face with Sami Zayn and Zayn told him it was time to accept what had happened in the past and let it go. McIntyre seemed at first to go along with Zayn adding that he’d ask Adam Pearce for a match on Raw as well to prove his title credentials. However, the match he was going to ask for was with Zayn himself.
