Rumour Dismissed About Next WWE Signing
Recent speculation around a new WWE arrival is wide of the mark.
For several months Giulia has been linked with a move to WWE and her signing now appears closer than ever. Giulia was spotted backstage at SmackDown alongside former STARDOM boss Rossy Ogawa. It’s believed that the former World of STARDOM Champion will be part of Ogawa’s new promotion before switching to WWE.
A new report from Corey Brennan via Fightful Select has now given an update on the situation, noting that Giulia will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center upon completion of her remaining dates. An immediate move to the main roster has been ruled out.
WWE officials are also said to be impressed with her progression in learning English. There had been rumours that WWE was concerned about Giulia’s stiff in-ring style, but several sources have dismissed these.
The star will be present at NXT Stand & Deliver, and there’s been speculation she could be shown in the crowd, much like new signings in years gone by. However, there’s been no confirmation that this will be the case.
Giulia began her career in 2017, and in seven short years, she’s notched up numerous accolades in Japan and only recently lost the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title to Stephanie Vaquer.
Triple H Comments On WWE Recruitment Policy
During a recent interview, Triple H commented on what he looks for in new signings. The Game said that he has a team of people keeping informed of who’s impressing across the world at any given time, but will only sign people who are dedicated to the grind.
The veteran said when he sees stars signing for fewer dates and an easy schedule, he’s “glad” they never got to the sports entertainment giant.
The comments are believed to be in reference to missing out on signing the likes of Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay who signed with AEW in recent months.
