Ronda Rousey Returns To WWE SmackDown
Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has returned to the blue brand for the first time since losing her title to Charlotte Flair at the end of 2022.
On the last SmackDown of 2022, Rona Rousey successfully defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Raquel Rodriguez but her night was far from done. Charlotte Flair made her shocking return to WWE after months out of action and defeated Rousey for the gold in an impromptu match.
Rousey had been absent from WWE television since that loss, missing her chance to repeat her success from 2022 and win the women’s Royal Rumble, but when SmackDown rolled into Uncasville, Connecticut that all changed.
On the show Natalya addressed her ongoing issues with Shayna Baszler, branding the former NXT Women’s Champion a “knock-off Ronda Rousey.” Baszler came out to confront the third-generation star before Rousey herself made an appearance and the two MMA Four Horsewomen launched an assault on Natalya. Shotzi attempted to even the sides but Rousey and Baszler withstood that and laid out both women.

Previous reports have suggested that Ronda Rousey is set for a huge championship match at WrestleMania 39 that will see her and Baszler challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
