Roman Reigns Delivers Message To LA Knight On SmackDown

Roman Reigns is taking notice of LA Knight’s rise to the top on SmackDown.

On SmackDown in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Roman Reigns returned to the blue brand where he came face-to-face with someone he knows very well, John Cena. Cena and Reigns first faced each other back in 2013 when Reigns was a part of The Shield but times have changed and now Reigns is the undoubted Tribal Chief in WWE.

Roman Reigns was not happy at Cena being in “his” ring but Cena had a surprise for him. Rather than issue a challenge of his own, John Cena introduced someone he believes has earned a WWE Universal Championship match – LA Knight.

Knight came to the ring without a shred of fear as he got in Reigns’ face but during his diatribe, he was jumped by Jimmy Uso – something that seemed to catch Roman Reigns by surprise. Knight soon dispatched Uso and Reigns told Solo Sikoa to handle Knight, leading to the show’s main event.

Roman Reigns stands tall over LA Knight

Knight and Sikoa did battle in a back-and-forth match and eventually, both men found themselves laid out after nailing each other with clotheslines. That opened the door for Jimmy Uso to try and interfere but he found himself cut off by John Cena. LA Knight was able to drop Sikoa with his Blunt Force Trauma to pick up the win.

The celebrations were cut short, however, as Roman Reigns ran in and nailed Knight with a vicious Spear to end the show.

Whether or not this leads to Roman Reigns defending his WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight at Crown Jewel as many expect remains to be seen.
