Rob Van Dam Praises Tony Khan For Being “Extremely Humble”
Tony Khan has been praised for his attitude and welcoming nature by former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam.
RVD has recently started working for AEW as part of a storyline involving the FTW Championship and Hook, son of Van Dam’s former ECW colleague Taz.
Van Dam made his AEW debut against Jack Perry after Perry had insulted Jerry Lynn. Last month RVD and Hook teamed to defeat Matt Menard and Angelo Parker.
After being asked his opinion of Tony Khan, Van Dam stated how “appreciative” his current boss is of all the AEW locker room.
Mr Monday Night shared his views on the bosses he has had during his career whilst being interviewed by Bill Apter as part of Sportskeeda Wrestling.
“Vince McMahon is intimidating. I think a lot of people feel like he’s a very powerful figure. When you’re talking to him, you know that. His energy … reeks of power and of importance, and I’ve always felt that way about Vince.”
“I feel like I have a ton of respect for Eric, but I feel like I’m talking to one of the boys when I’m talking to Eric.”
“Tony is extremely humble. Very, very kind. Very complimentary, and does not have the energy that he’s more important than anybody else. He seems more like he’s happy to be there and appreciative, you know?”
AEW’s Tony Khan Enters The Rated Era As Adam Copeland Goes Head-To-Head With John Cena
Whilst Rob Van Dam has been sharing insight into the difference in personality between Tony Khan and Vince McMahon, two of his former opponents are set to do battle in an attempt to dominate the viewing figures.
In 2006, Rob Van Dam took on both John Cena and Adam Copeland (Edge) in a triple-threat match for the WWE Championship.
This Tuesday NXT have announced John Cena will be appearing to offer back up for Carmelo Hayes, on the same night that AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday will see the in-ring debut of Copeland as he takes on Luchasaurus.
Joining John Cena will be The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes who will be making a special announcement.
Whilst on AEW, Saraya will defend her Women’s Championship against Hikaru Shida, Chris Jericho will take on Powerhouse Hobbs, and Jon Moxley will look to get his hands on the International Championship by defeating Ray Fenix.
