Ric Flair is not ready to pile on with criticism for Vince McMahon even though that seems to be a popular thing to do these days.

When it comes to Ric Flair and Vince McMahon, they are two of the biggest names in the history of pro wrestling. Flair is as well-known as any wrestler ever while Vince built the WWE empire that was recently acquired by Endeavor for over $9 billion.

In July 2022, Vince McMahon retired from WWE as the Chairman & CEO due to numerous hush money payments due to multiple sexual relationships with women that worked for WWE. While Vince stayed on at WWE when the story, he chose to retire in July due to all the attention it was bringing WWE and not in a good way.

To start 2023, Vince was back in WWE as the Executive Chairman while he made it clear he was back to sell the company. Meanwhile, Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over as the Chief Content Officer in charge of WWE’s creative team, but Vince still has a say in things.

Ric Flair is no stranger to controversies too, but the former 16-time World Champion that is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer has nothing by love for Vince McMahon.

Recently, Ric Flair was a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast with comedian/UFC announcer Joe Rogan, who has one of the biggest podcasts in the world. During the show, Flair and Rogan had this discussion.

Flair: “I just can’t see Vince taking orders. That will be a strange one for me if someone tried to tell Vince what the hell to do.

Rogan: Who the f**k knows more about wrestling than that guy?

Flair: Nobody.

Rogan: When he was getting involved in scandals and there was girls that he paid off. I just wanted to say, duh! Duh! You have an 80-year-old savage who is built like a f**king gladiator. Gee, you think he f**ks? You think Vince McMahon is doing that for hee-hees and haw-haws? No, of course he has some floosies on the side.

Flair: He’s my hero.

Rogan: He’s an animal.

Flair: I judge people by how they treat me and he has treated me like…I’ve never had anyone treat me with more respect in this business.

Rogan: That’s awesome.

Flair: He’s a great guy. I don’t care what he does. He’s my hero.

Rogan: Before him, there was no one of that caliber. There was no one who put together an organization as big as WWF.

Flair: No. He’s got balls bigger than f**king Dallas, Texas. He’s not easily intimidated.”

When it was brought up that Vince McMahon changed things on the Raw after WrestleMania this year, Ric Flair talked about how Vince is always so invested in WWE.

“He just spends all day…he’s so invested time-wise and mentally. To me, he’s sharp as a tack. He had a chance, took a break from it, but it gave him a chance to look at the product, come back at it, and fix what he thought was right or wrong. To me, he’s entitled to do that. He owns it, he built it.”

Following the WWE sale earlier this month, Ric Flair made it clear that he wants the McMahon Family to remain involved in the company.
