Vince McMahon Return Brings “Huge Negative Shift In Morale” To WWE

With the news that WWE has been sold to Endeavor, Vince McMahon solidified his role in the company’s corporate sphere but now it looks like he’s in charge of creative again and some aren’t happy.

Vince McMahon retired from WWE in July 2022 with Triple H taking over the day-to-day running of creative in the company as well as re-hiring many previously axed stars. When McMahon strong-armed his way back onto WWE’s Board in early 2023, many felt it was just a matter of time before his reach found its way back into the TV shows once again and now that seems to be the case.

PWInsider has reported that McMahon’s return to run things led to a “huge negative shift in morale” with many concluding that they’ll end up “exactly where they were” before Triple H took over creative. One source in the company went as far as to say that the “place felt nuked” upon McMahon’s return.

The feeling in WWE is said to be that Vince McMahon will be overseeing everything creatively once again but it remains to be seen if that plays out. McMahon himself noted that he will be involved in WWE creative “on a higher level” following his return.

A big factor in the negative feeling among many WWE stars is the fact that Triple H is “genuinely liked and trusted” by the talents. It was noted that many worked closely with him through the NXT system and the feeling of security having him in charge of creative in the company appears to be no more.
