Ric Flair Has Heat With WWE’s Paul Heyman After Controversial Comments

Ric Flair has confirmed he’s got heat with Paul Heyman.

The Nature Boy and Heyman might have known each other since the 1980s, but they don’t always see eye to eye.

Speaking back in August, Paul Heyman declared himself the greatest manager of all time, dismissing the late, great Bobby Heenan’s claim to the throne. In typical Heyman style, when asked about Heenan he quipped “screw him, he’s dead.”

During an appearance on Wrestling Observer Radio, Flair has now responded, confirming he’s got heat with Roman Reigns’ Special Counsel.

“I know Dangerously [Heyman] was being funny on TV, but he was on First Take and Stephen A goes, ‘what did you think of Bobby Heenan?’ [Heyman] goes, ‘Ah, he’s dead. Who cares.’ Everybody goes, ‘That’s to get heat.’ It got heat with me. The answer is, ‘Yeah, he’s the greatest of all time.’ It didn’t get over with me at all. He’s just being a heel. Be a heel on me. Don’t say something stupid about somebody who is the greatest of all time,

Flair and Heenan worked together for a number of years in both WCW and WWE.

Ric Flair Agrees New Deal With AEW

Ric Flair has been back in the news recently after making his AEW debut, before securing a new multi-year deal with the company. The contract between Ric Flair and AEW which is believed to be for two years, will see Flair’s Wooooo! Energy brand become the official energy drink of AEW.
