Rhea Ripley Reacts To Backlash Win
Rhea Ripley was “ecstatic” to be walking out of Backlash still Smackdown Women’s Champion.
Ripley was successful in her first defense since winning the Smackdown Women’s Championship by defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39.
The 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner has been on a hot streak not just in the ring, but also outside as her relationship with Dominik Mysterio has helped him become one of the most hated heels in the company.
The Judgment Day member was in a confident mood after her victory over Zelina Vega and did not hold back when reflecting on the win.
Speaking backstage with WWE reporter Megan Morant, the Champion admitted to not caring that attending fans had been backing Vega.
“I don’t really care if the crowd was strongly behind Zelina. I don’t care about these people. They don’t mean anything to me, just like Zelina doesn’t. But carry on with your stupid little question, Megan.”
“I mean, you could’ve just asked that question instead of all the other stuff that came with it. But you know what? It actually felt amazing. It felt amazing because they were behind Zelina Vega so much, and I shut them all up for good when Mami walked out the SmackDown Women’s Champion still, and Zelina Vega was left in the ring like a little pretzel. So yeah, you could say I’m pretty ecstatic. That’s all you’re going to get from me. Goodbye.”
Ripley, also known as Mami, has been called the “greatest woman wrestler of all time” by a current WWE Superstar.
Rhea Ripley has been drafted to Raw as have the rest of the Judgment Day.
Two of the faction have been selected to compete in tomorrow night’s tournament that will lead to a new World Heavyweight Champion being crowned.
