Rey Mysterio Challenged To Heartbreaking WrestleMania Match
Rey Mysterio was the first name announced for the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame class but the star is fighting hard to not have to compete in a heartwrenching bout at WrestleMania.
At Clash at the Castle in September 2022 Rey Mysterio teamed with Edge to defeat The Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and Damian Priest but the real story took place after the match. Dominik Mysterio shockingly turned on Edge and his father, attacking them and pledging his allegiance to The Judgment Day.
In recent months Dominik Mysterio and his ‘mami’ Rhea Ripley have sought to make Rey’s life hell, with videos of the pair attacking and antagonising the elder Mysterio during the holidays and at his home making waves.
Now Dominik Mysterio has taken things one step further on Raw in Providence, RI as he challenged his father to a WrestleMania match. Rey Mysterio has been so far unwilling to fight his son and that proved to be the case once again as he refused Dominik’s challenge.

Rey Mysterio will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Konnan and there has been some speculation that an altercation could take place at the Hall of Fame ceremony itself that leaves Rey no option but to finally fight his tearaway son.
