Replacement For Fired AEW Star Revealed

Tony Khan in AEW

It seems AEW has already found a replacement for one of the most surprising names affected by the recent releases in the company.

News broke on the 3rd of April that several members of the AEW roster have been cut by Tony Khan in a marked change to how the company deals with exits from the company. Previously releases had been dealt with on a case-by-case basis and this was the first mass release in the company’s five-year history.

Dasha, Jose The Assistant, Jora Johl, Anthony Henry, The Boys, Gravity, Stu Grayson, Parker Boudreaux, and Slim J have all been let go.

Most of those let go had either not been used on TV in quite some time or had been a part of the Ring of Honor roster. Jose The Assistant was originally aligned on TV with Andrade El Idolo during his stint in AEW and had also been seen with La Faccion Ingorbernable while Dasha was frequently seen as the popular ring announcer for Collision.

Dasha Replaced On AEW Collision

AEW Dynamite in Worcester was followed by a Collision taping for the show that will air on the 6th of April. One surprising AEW star hit back at CM Punk’s recent comments after their Collision match while fans in attendance will have noted the show’s ring announcer for the night.

Ring of Honor’s Bobby Cruise was on ring announcing duties following Dasha’s exit from the company. However, it remains to be seen if Cruise will be the permanent replacement for her going forward.
