Real Reason Why Jade Cargill Ended Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Title Reign
Jade Cargill was crowned the new WWE Women’s Champion on Saturday.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, she defeated Tiffany Stratton in a squash match, but not before turning on her during last week’s SmackDown.
In doing so, she stomped on Stratton’s knee, leaving her at under 100% health, going into her title defense.
During the latest SmackDown and at SNME, the 26-year-old’s knee was heavily taped up.
Meanwhile, Jade Cargill took the opportunity within her stride to hit a series of powerful moves, including consecutive powerbombs, before finishing Stratton with her Jaded finisher.
An insider source revealed that the decision to put the title on Cargill was to give her a Brock Lesnar-like persona from back in the day.
They also revealed that Stratton had picked up a few knocks along the way. As a non-champion, she can take a bit of time to recuperate and return fully fit.
Jade Cargill Hits Out At Critics After Title Win
Jade Cargill has been a subject of criticism for many podcasters in recent times.
At a time when it is easy to receive harsh messages, The Storm has done her best to stay focused on the task at hand instead of the negativity.
But after proving her critics wrong, she has finally spoken by posting a message on her X account.
You didn’t believe in me — good.
Doubt looks great on you. Gold looks better on me.#GoldlsMyColor #andnew #WWEWomensChampion #ToldYallToPutSomeRespectOnMyName #ICamelPutTheSmackDownIConquered #thatbitch #newchampion
During SNME, another title went to a new winner, as CM Punk defeated Jey Uso for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Interestingly, as it stands, there are four former AEW stars, including Jade Cargill, who currently hold a title in the Stamford promotion.
