Jade Cargill Ends Tiffany Stratton’s 302-Day WWE Women’s Title Reign At SNME

Jade Cargill Wins WWE Women's Championship At Saturday Night's Main Event

Jade Cargill has finally won the WWE Women’s Championship.

Earlier this year, Jade Cargill challenged Tiffany Stratton for the title at SummerSlam, but came up short. The Storm had another shot at the title the following month on SmackDown. Nevertheless, the match ended in a no-contest after Nia Jax attacked both superstars.

After losing another Triple Threat title match on SmackDown, Cargill went absent from TV for a few weeks. She returned on the October 24 episode of the blue brand to save Stratton from a post-match attack by Guilia. After clearing the ring, The Storm shockingly turned on the champion and launched a brutal beatdown on her, injuring Stratton’s knee in the process.

Last night on SmackDown, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis revealed that Stratton was not 100% and forbade any physical contact between her and Cargill before Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Tiffany Stratton Stood No Chance Against Jade Cargill At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Despite her injury, the 26-year-old insisted on defending her title against The Storm tonight at Saturday Night’s Main Event. This decision turned out to be disastrous for Stratton as her opponent targeted her injured knee.

Although she bravely fought back, Tiffy Time failed to overcome the strength of Cargill. After less than six minutes, The Storm hit Stratton with Jaded for the three-count to win her first WWE Women’s Title and end the former champion’s 302-day reign.
