Released WWE Star Was A Paul Heyman Favorite
A released WWE star was once considered somebody Paul Heyman thought very fondly of when he was involved in the creative team.
There were several WWE superstars released on Thursday ranging from veterans on the main roster to NXT wrestlers that have appeared on television and even some people who were just in the developmental phase of their career.
Riddick Moss, who was also known as Madcap Moss in his WWE career, was among the names released in WWE. On Twitter/X, he wrote that he “graduated” from WWE since he worked for the company for nine years starting as a developmental talent in 2014 until his release.
Well I did it – I graduated from WWE.
I know a lot of people think my career really took a downturn once Mr. Levesque took over, but, in actuality, my per match fee skyrocketed through the roof.
Other promoters, get ready to back the brinks truck up.

The biggest push that Moss received in his WWE career started in September 2021 and involved a run that saw him become the “joker” of Baron Corbin. Moss would tell bad jokes that the fans hated while Corbin thought it was hilarious. They eventually had a falling out with Moss becoming a babyface that won his rivalry with Corbin.
Moss won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal in 2022, which is probably the biggest win of his career. Moss also held the “coveted” 24/7 Title once.
Unfortunately for Moss, he was part of the WWE releases and so was his fiancee Emma, who uses her real name of Tenille Dashwood outside of WWE.
Paul Heyman saw a lot of potential in Riddick Moss
It was reported by Fightful Select that when Paul Heyman was working as the Executive Director of the Raw brand in June 2019, Moss was somebody that Heyman felt that WWE could be a main event level performer. Others in the company didn’t see it that way and Moss was barely used at the time.
Heyman was in the role of Executive Director of Raw for about one year. He has many other roles in the company including the on-screen “Special Counsel” to Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.
