Cody Rhodes‘ feud with Roman Reigns might be over for now, but Paul Heyman is still paying attention to The American Nightmare.

Rhodes recently appeared on ‘SI Media With Jimmy Traina’ when Traina told him about a run-in he had with Heyman. Traina had previously named Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan as the greatest manager of all time, something Heyman took exception to when he appeared on his show and proceeded to berate the host.

Rhodes responded to the tale by agreeing with Traina, before going on to explain why he doesn’t see Heyman as a manager anyway.

“I’ll go ahead and say it, Bobby Heenan is the greatest manager of all time, but I don’t really think of Heyman as a manager.

“He’s far more in the sense that he was this disrupter, this creator of an alternative project which changed our industry. He’s also very much…Like what you see with Roman, he’s Roman’s real rep and his TV rep.

“The level of influence and the amount of things that Heyman has his hands in, he’s the best at that, but from just a manager standpoint? Bobby Heenan is – you put him with anybody and they became a star. The Heenan Family, it was, ‘Put them with Bobby’, Bobby was the man.”

Heyman saw the clip on social media and felt the need to respond to Traina’s “petulant pursuit” of him. After claiming to respect Rhodes’ opinion, Roman Reigns‘ Special Counsel took a swipe at him, saying he was the “fourth greatest performer” in his family, behind even Brandi Rhodes.
