The WWE 2016 Survivor Series pay-per-view was headlined by Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.

Paul Heyman, who was Lesnar’s manager at the time, recently opened up about why The Icon was selected to squash The Beast Incarnate.

While the fans were excited about watching the two heavyweights going at it, they had no idea what to expect.

The event that unfolded truly left everyone gob smacked, especially because Goldberg had returned to wrestling for the first time in twelve years.

The veteran won the bout in just 1 minute 52 seconds, hitting Lesnar with two Spears and a Jackhammer, as fans at Air Canada Centre in Ontario, Canada, watched in disbelief.

During an appearance on Inside the Ropes, Heyman explained his take on why Goldberg had to squash Brock Lesnar and not any other wrestler.

You believe it. We had a shock value involved. And here comes Goldberg. Here comes Clint Eastwood coming back for one more fight. And you know it’s one more fight. You think he’s going to get his ass kicked by Brock Lesnar, but man, I would really love to see Goldberg come back. Paul Heyman Responds To The Usos Mocking Him On WWE RAW

WWE’s social account shared a video of The Usos mocking Paul Heyman on RAW during their segment with The Vision members Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

The X account captioned it, “If your name is Paul Heyman, don’t watch this. THE USOS COOKED.”

The 60-year-old manager, who is recuperating from Roman Reigns’ guillotine at Clash in Paris, replied to the post, revealing something big that was about to come.

On the upcoming RAW episode, The Vision’s Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch will come face to face with CM Punk and AJ Lee before their mixed tag team match at Wrestlepalooza.
