Paul Heyman Fires Back At Kurt Angle After Critical Comments

Paul Heyman has reacted in a unique way to Kurt Angle recently saying the Wise Man was “full of s**t” regarding The Bloodline storyline.

At the SummerSlam press conference last Saturday night after Roman Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship over Jey Uso in controversial fashion (as usual), Paul Heyman made the point that it’s still early in The Bloodline storyline that has been going on for three years.

“If you don’t come at this with the greatest ambitions to be much better tomorrow than you are today and much better two days from now, then you’re not here to be the greatest of all time. That’s what Roman Reigns wants to be and is determined to be. That’s the only reason why I agreed to have life after Lesnar. How could I have ever topped the run I had with Lesnar? Roman Reigns because he’s that ambitious because he wants it that badly. What inning are we in? Bottom of the third. Wait until you see what we have in the fourth.”

The “bottom of the third” line by Heyman is a baseball reference. If you don’t watch baseball, the games last nine innings, so Heyman’s comment would mean that we are still in the early stages of this storyline that is three years into it.

In a story we covered last night, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, who knows Heyman very well, reacted to what Paul Heyman said by claiming Heyman was “full of s**t” by saying that it’s still early in The Bloodline story.

“The storyline is great, I love it, but I think Heyman was full of s**t. I think they’re in the eighth inning, and they’re stressed. They’re making s**t up now. That’s what I believe.”

“Paul Heyman, I know him, and I know that he’s probably going crazy right now, ‘What do we do next?’”

Those comments by Angle made their way online, which meant that Heyman saw it on Twitter/X. Here’s what Heyman wrote in a tweet to react to Angle.

“No matter what inning we’re in, at least we’re not looking for exposure thru the next Old Timer’s Day. Ahem.”

“And just for the record, I typed this tweet with a broken freakin’ fingernail!”

The last line was obviously a case of Heyman having fun with Kurt Angle’s “broken freakin’ neck” line that he used for the last 25 years in wrestling promos.

Paul Heyman Saw The Bloodline Implode Again On Smackdown

Following the controversial SummerSlam Premium Live Event with Jimmy Uso costing his brother Jey Uso the match against Roman Reigns, they followed up with The Bloodline’s drama in the main event of Smackdown on Friday night. Paul Heyman was right there by Roman’s side along with Solo Sikoa.

Jimmy Uso tried to explain to Jey that Jimmy didn’t want Jey to become Tribal Chief because then he might become an “a**hole” like Roman Reigns is. Jey ended up fighting Reigns and Solo while also delivering a superkick to Jimmy.

After clearing house, Jey also said he quit WWE: “I’m out. I’m out The Bloodline. I’m out of SmackDown. I’m out of WWE!” It’s just a storyline, but WWE has taken action by moving Jey Uso their alumni roster instead of keeping him on the active roster.
