Orange Cassidy On Facing Jon Moxley – “I Don’t Know What’s Going To Happen”
Orange Cassidy is heading into one of the most dangerous matches of his career so far as the “King of Sloth Style” faces off with Jon Moxley in a huge All Out Main Event.
Cassidy is putting the AEW International Championship on the line in front of a hot sold-out Chicago crowd, but has admitted that he doesn’t “know what’s going to happen”.
Over the last few weeks, Orange Cassidy has been clashing with the Blackpool Combat Club. This led to a successful Championship defense against Wheeler Yuta on Dynamite, and continued into Wembley last Sunday.
Blackpool Compact Club was once again on the losing side during the violent Stadium Stampede match with Cassidy gaining the pin on Claudio Castagnoli.
Following the Wembley battle, Orange Cassidy wanted a match with Jon Moxley and after successfully retaining his Championship this past week on Dynamite, will look to complete a hat trick by pinning all three active members of BCC.
The double denim-wearing AEW International Champion appeared on Barstool Rasslin’ to promote Sunday night’s All Out battle with Jon Moxley.
During the interview with Brandon Walker, Cassidy admitted that both he and the match are “unpredictable” whilst also sharing concern over the number of weapons his opponent brings.
That’s the thing, I like to take pride in the fact that, when I wrestle, my opponents don’t know what I’m going to do. That’s why I’m very successful. I feel that I always keep them guessing. I’m unpredictable.
Jon Moxley is the same. You don’t know what Jon Moxley is going to do. He has a lot of weapons. There are things I haven’t shown, there are things he hasn’t shown.
It’s actually the unpredictability of it that we don’t know what’s going to happen, I think that’s what you can expect. I really don’t know what’s going to happen.”
From Wherever To All Out Main Event, Orange Cassidy Given Thumbs Up
Justin Roberts might introduce the International Champion as being from wherever and weighing whatever, but there is no denying the popularity of Orange Cassidy.
Cassidy has been one of the most active Champions in AEW, with regular defenses since securing the then AEW All-Atlantic Belt in October 2022 following a victory over Pac.
Over the last year Cassidy has taken on all challengers including WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, Daniel Garcia, Buddy Matthews, Luchasaurus, and Swerve Strickland.
During this time Orange Cassidy has showcased an ability to deliver stand out matches and entertain fans with his slow motion kicks with his hands in his pockets.
Following the release of CM Punk following altercations at All IN last weekend, there is an opportunity for all AEW talent to fulfil the Chicago Made hole. Something that the pillar of consistency Orange Cassidy is ready to fill as he looks to showcase why his match with Moxley has been given the main event position of a stacked All Out.
