New Tag Team Champions Crowned At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
The Hurt Syndicate has been displaced as the AEW World Tag Team Champions.
At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin defended their titles against FTR and Bandido/Brody King.
The hard-hitting bout witnessed everything from top turnbuckle spots to interferences and a chair shot to the head.
Brody King was the star of the match and also the most resilient. Despite dominating for a better period, he took significant punishment in the closing minutes.
The wrestlers constantly attacked each other, at one point leaving Bryan Danielson at the commentary table, wondering who the legal men were.
Lashley and Benjamin marginalized the challenge from King, as Lashley took him out with a Spear.

The match also saw an interference from multiple men in NJPW tracksuits, who were later revealed as AEW’s Ricochet, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun.
The trio attacked Lashley and Benjamin, practically taking them out of the match.
After some back-and-forth action, King launched Bandido to hit a Frog Splash on Dax Harwood of FTR. He then assisted Bandido for him to hit a Monkey Flip.
The move resulted in an awkward pinfall, which led the referee to stop the count and restart. The match, nonetheless, ended with the pinfall.
Bandido and Brody King celebrated, holding the World Tag Team Championships aloft at the O2 Arena.
