Matt Riddle Update Ahead Of WWE Raw

Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle’s status for Monday Night Raw has changed.

Matt Riddle recently turned heads with a now-deleted Instagram post claiming he had been sexually assaulted by a police officer at the JFK airport.

TMZ shed more light on the situation, revealing that the Port Authority police department had received a call about a disorderly person deplaning at the airport. The disorderly person in question is alleged to be Riddle.

According to TMZ, officers spoke with Riddle and other witnesses in the area, and Riddle seemed apologetic at the time. Therefore, his post alleging sexual assault came as a surprise to the police department. Port Authority police have launched an internal investigation into the incident, saying they take such claims very seriously.

Will Matt Riddle Be On WWE Raw On September 18th?

Riddle was absent from Monday Night Raw on September 11th, though this was reportedly unrelated to his claims. Instead, it was reported that Riddle was pulled from Raw due to a medical issue as he had a double ear infection and bronchitis, and he was expected to be back on September 18th.

However, according to a new report from PWInsider, Riddle was not seen backstage at the site of Raw in Salt Lake City as of 4pm Eastern, indicating that he may not be making his return after all. There is reportedly no status update on the investigation into his sexual assault claims.

In Matt Riddle’s absence, his recent tag team partner Drew McIntyre took on Xavier Woods on September 11th after the two men clashed backstage over McIntyre’s shot at Kofi Kingston the previous week.
