Massive WWE Legend Tipped To Be John Cena’s Final Opponent
A WWE Hall of Famer has tipped a massive legend as John Cena’s final opponent.
Cena has 11 dates left in his retirement tour, which is set to conclude in December.
Recently, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return to the World Wrestling Entertainment at SummerSlam after two years.
After Cena’s match against Cody Rhodes, which he lost, thus dropping his Undisputed WWE Championship, Lesnar hit him with an F5.
John Cena and Brock Lesnar have had a memorable rivalry during the Ruthless Aggression Era and will soon clash for the last time, although a date has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the former champion will face YouTube sensation and ex-United States Champion Logan Paul at Clash in Paris on August 31.
John Cena’s final WWE run has received mixed reactions.
He turned heel back in March and won a record 17th Championship, but sporadically reverted to babyface a week before SummerSlam.
Some experts suggest that the promotion was forced into making that decision because it was no longer working.
Mark Henry Names John Cena’s Final WWE Opponent
‘The World’s Strongest Man,’ Mark Henry, has had notable rivalries with John Cena.
The 54-year-old recently appeared on the No Holds Barred podcast. When asked about who the final opponent could be, Henry named WWE legend The Rock.
I really think that it would have to be The Rock. I think The Rock would have to come back and say, “Look, I tried to do something with you that I didn’t think you could do for yourself and you failed at that. You just couldn’t help yourself. Now, I tried to buy your soul, now I’m gonna take it.” [9:24 onwards]
John Cena and The Rock have faced each other twice at WrestleMania XXIII and WrestleMania 29, with both getting one win apiece.
Whether or not a third showdown is on the cards remains to be seen. ‘The Final Boss’ last appeared in the promotion during the 2025 Elimination Chamber in March.
