John Cena’s retirement tour in WWE began in early 2025 and is scheduled to conclude by December this year.

As of August 19, 2025, The Last Real Champion has approximately 11 appearances left on this farewell tour. Upcoming events include WWE SmackDown shows in Europe, the Clash in Paris on August 31, WWE Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, in October, WWE Survivor Series, and his final likely match dates set around December in Boston, though the exact last date is still to be finalized.

Throughout the tour, Cena fought a mix of old rivals and new challengers like Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, R-Truth, and CM Punk. He is set to face Logan Paul at Clash in Paris. There is ongoing speculation about future matches against Brock Lesnar, Gunther, and possibly AJ Styles, and it appears Seth Rollins might also be on the list.

John Cena took to his Instagram account a few hours ago to share a social media post featuring Seth Rollins’ SummerSlam victory. This might be a potential hint that he might step inside the ring against The Visionary for the last time in his retirement tour.

At WWE SummerSlam 2025, The Monday Night Messiah cashed in his Money in the Bank contract immediately after CM Punk had won the World Heavyweight Championship from Gunther. Rollins, initially appearing on crutches, dropped them to reveal he was healthy and rushed the ring to ambush the celebrating Punk. At the Boston Fan Expo, John Cena revealed the named of wrestling soulmates, wrestlers with whom he shared exceptional chemistry, and Seth Rollins was one of them. He also named Randy Orton, Edge, CM Punk, Cody, and AJ Styles as his wrestling soulmates.
