Marty Jannetty Makes Wild Claims About Drug-Fuelled Parties With Hulk Hogan
Marty Jannetty has recalled living it up with Hulk Hogan.
During his career, especially in the 80s and 90s, Jannetty rubbed shoulders and partied with some of the biggest names the wrestling industry has ever seen. The veteran initially found fame as one-half of The Rockers alongside Shawn Michaels, before going on to become Intercontinental Champion.
If professional wrestling was known for one thing during this period, it was partying, and not only partying but taking things to the absolute limit and beyond. One man who has made no secret of life of excess is Jannetty. So naturally, his memories of Hulk Hogan, revolve around parties in Florida.
During a new interview with Steve Fall for WrestlingNewsCo, the former tag team star was asked to describe what Hogan was like.
“Loved him. He’s a great guy, great guy. He would throw parties, oh my god, those parties he would throw. He’d invite everybody, but for the Florida boys, which I was at the time, he would have…we’d go out on a three-level ship, because he lives in Tampa Bay. He would always invite all of us,”
Diving deeper into the parties themselves, Jannetty claimed Hogan once had a gumball machine full of drugs to greet his guests.
“Food. I’m not gonna say the drugs part. But foods, drinks, and when I say drinks, you know what I’m talking about [laughs]. One time, don’t get mad at me, I’m sorry brother, just once, he had, when you walked in the front door, you know those gumball machines? You just turn…it was mixed drugs, and you’d turn it, and you’d take whatever comes out [laughs].
You can go back to the gumball machine, but when you walk in, it’s right there when you walk in the front door, and just [turn it], and three, four, five pills would just fall out,”
Hulk Hogan Struggling Physically
While Hogan tasted incredible success during his career, he’s currently paying the price for all of those nights at the top of the card. During a recent interview, Hogan admitted “everything hurts,” detailing his struggles with going about his daily life.
The veteran said he couldn’t properly extend his arms and has issues with his back, neck, knees, and hips, something he puts down to not retiring earlier.
