Logan Paul Scores Controversial Win At WWE SummerSlam

Logan Paul had some help to defeat Ricochet at WWE SummerSlam.

Logan Paul and Ricochet have been at odds since the 2023 Royal Rumble when they went viral over their big mid-air clash in the men’s Rumble match. They resumed hostilities at Money In The Bank when a scary moment saw both men crash from the top rope through tables on the floor before.

A backstage brawl erupted between both stars and eventually Logan Paul accepted Ricochet’s challenge for a bout at SummerSlam.

WWE had been hoping for a big viral moment from the two stars and the company certainly got their wish as they competed in a typically athletic match.

Logan Paul seemed intent to keep the match on the ground for the early going and the two men revisited their infamous Spanish Fly spot from Money In The Bank with only slightly more success this time around. Ricochet threw every aerial assault on Paul that he could but in the end, one of Paul’s minions gave him brass knuckles which he used to knock out Ricochet to pick up the win.

What next for Logan Paul in WWE?

It remains to be seen what the next move for Logan Paul will be in WWE although his immediate future will see him head to his brother Jake Paul’s big fight with Nate Diaz in Dallas, Texas.

Paul headlined the Crown Jewel event in 2022 against Roman Reigns and he could feasibly return to WWE for a return to Saudi Arabia when that show returns on the 4th of November 2023. Although before that Paul will return to the boxing ring on October 14th.

It was noted that The Maverick took a shot at Braun Strowman during the match with Ricochet by using his running power slam so depending on when the injured Monster Among Monster returns he could have the social media star in his sights.
