Logan Paul Clarifies WWE Status After Title Win
Logan Paul is going to be more present now that he is the reigning WWE United States Champion.
In 2022, Logan Paul attempted to end the historic reign of Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. The social media star lost that battle but his quest for gold in WWE finally came to fruition at 2023’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
After defeating Dillon Danis, Logan Paul called out WWE US Champion Rey Mysterio to face him, and the WWE Hall of Famer did not need to be asked twice.
At Crown Jewel, the two men went back and forth until one of Paul’s goons tried to give Paul a pair of brass knucks to use. The LWO’s Santos Escobar interjected and chased the minion from the arena but either accidentally or by design left the brass knucks in easy reach of Logan Paul.
Paul suffered a 619 but as Rey Mysterio attempted his follow-up splash, Paul was back on his feet and took out the champion with the brass knucks and a vicious right hand. That was enough for Logan Paul to pick up the win and become the WWE US Champion.
Logan Paul Promises Surprise Appearances In WWE
Speaking to Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Logan Paul confirmed that he’s going to be more present in WWE now he’s United States Champion but warns everyone that this is only the start of him taking over the company:
I think I have to. I think I have to. You’re going to have to watch Raw, you’re going to have to watch SmackDown. I’m going to make some surprise appearances and show these wrestlers who is the real king.
[Boxing Danis] was cake. That was barely a performance. I wouldn’t even call that a fight. [WWE Crown Jewel] was a fight. [WWE Crown Jewel] was harder. I’m winded. I feel like I really earned this. I see these comments online, ‘Logan Paul is spoonfed, silver spoon in his mouth. Everything has been given to him his whole life, he hasn’t earned it.’

The United States Championship is a fixture on SmackDown so it seems most likely Logan Paul will be spending most of his time in WWE on that show but it could be a case of anything goes for The Maverick.
