Liv Morgan’s reaction to Y2J chants on WWE RAW.

A few days ago, Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that since Jericho is no longer under an AEW contract, he could make his return to WWE on the January 5, 2026 edition of Monday Night Raw. Even Adam Pearce dropped a Jericho tease, but The Demo God did not show up.

This week’s Raw episode featured Liv Morgan facing Lyra Valkyria in a singles match. It was Morgan’s first match since she returned at Survivor Series after almost five months of absence.

During the match, the crowd at Barclays Center heavily chanted Y2J (Jericho’s nickname). Morgan reacted to the chants with a crotch chop. Check out Morgan’s reaction below.

Chris Jericho Was Never Meant To Appear on WWE RAW

A new report from PWInsider revealed that Chris Jericho was never scheduled to be on the Raw show this week. And the “break down the walls” tease from Adam Pearce was made as a reference to Netflix’s popular series Stranger Things.

PWInsider.com is told Jericho was never slated for the show and is actually in Los Angeles this week.

For those who were incorrectly piecing Adam Pearce making a reference to breaking walls down on a social media video over the weekend, given tonight was a Stranger Things crossover-themed episode, that was obviously a smartly played reference to that series having the wall into the Upside Down dimension.

Unfortunately, others took hold of it and made it into something beyond what it appeared meant to be. If nothing else, Pearce built some buzz for the show. [H/T PWInsider]
