Line Up Confirmed For First-Ever AEW Women’s Blood & Guts Match

Mercedes Mone & Jamie Hayter at AEW Double or Nothing

AEW’s latest batch of history makers has been confirmed.

On the September 27 episode of Collision, Jamie Hayter overcame Julia Hart, but as has become a theme in recent weeks, she was quickly attacked by the Triangle of Madness. After Queen Aminata ran in to make the save, Hayter said there was only one way to settle things: Blood & Guts.

Official confirmation that the match would be taking place and exactly who would be involved didn’t follow for several weeks, but it has now arrived.

In a backstage segment on the November 1 episode of Collision, Renee Paquette announced the two teams for the women’s match. On one side, Mercedes Mone will team with Megan Bayne, Thekla, Marina Shafir, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue to face “Timeless” Toni Storm, Kris Statlander, Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and Queen Aminata.

Just ten days after doing battle at Blood & Guts, Kris Statlander will defend the AEW Women’s World Title against Mercedes Mone. If Mone wins, she’ll hold both of AEW’s singles women’s titles and 13 championships in total.

AEW Confirms Men’s Blood & Guts Plans

On the same show, the combatants in the men’s Blood & Guts match were also confirmed. The official challenge for the match had been made on Dynamite by Mark Briscoe after another wild brawl between the Death Riders and the Conglomeration.

As a result, a team made up of Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, and Roderick Strong will meet Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta inside the famous double-cage.

In line with the tradition of Jim Crockett Promotions, the match can only be won by submission or surrender.
