Length Of Bianca Belair’s WWE Absence Remains Unclear
There is no definitive window of return for Bianca Belair.
The EST was last seen on the August 18th episode of SmackDown where an attack by Damage CTRL looked to write her off of TV for the foreseeable future. However, it is unknown exactly when fans should expect to see Belair back inside a WWE ring.
As reported by Fightful Select, Belair could be out for as little as under a month or as long as three months, with creative accounting for this time away. It should also be noted that the knee injury that was sustained to Belair on TV is just in storyline and not the reason behind the lengthy absence.
The report concludes by praising the former Women’s Champion for her extensive media and community appearances that she took part in while holding the title, with the schedule being described as “insane.”
Bianca Belair Wins And Loses WWE Women’s Championship
Belair had a night of highs and lows at SummerSlam. The EST and Charlotte Flair challenged Asuka for the Women’s Title in a Triple Threat match. Belair looked to be taken out of the match after falling from the ring to the outside and hitting her knee on the steel steps. Belair was then assisted to the back by medical personnel as the match continued. The valiant babyface would return to effectively win the match on one leg, but her night was not over.
As Belair celebrated with the championship, the music of Money in the Bank holder Iyo Sky rang through the arena, with Belair looking dejected as she knew what was going to happen next. Sky targeted the injured leg and hit a Moonsault to win the match and become the new champion, ending Belair’s reign in under 2 minutes.
