LA Knight Understands Why It’s Difficult For WWE To Change Plans

la knight wwe promo yeah

LA Knight’s popularity continues to rise as The Megastar calls for a “change of plans” despite admitting WWE is “such a big machine”.

Since battling Bray Wyatt in the first-ever Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match, WWE fans have been getting louder in their support of the former Million Dollar Champion as Knight Fever is taking over.

Following a win in the SummerSlam Slim Jim Battle Royal, many expected to see LA Knight secure a first Championship since being called up to the main roster.

But instead, Austin Theory dropped the United States Championship to Rey Mysterio whilst Knight is entering a feud with The Miz.

Battling screen time with an A lister is not a bad route to further success, however Knight feels that it might be time for WWE to react to the current fan reactions regardless of the longer term planning in place.

The Megastar was discussing how the scale of WWE impacts its booking during an interview with Inside The Ropes but would continue to add that due to crowd reactions maybe there is scope for changes.

“Well, it’s such a big machine, you’ve got so many moving parts and so many bodies and people to factor in. Hell, if you consider just SmackDown in and of itself, you’ve got at least, and I’m probably even undershooting this, at least 40 to 50 talents to look after. Probably more than that, I’m probably just thinking of just the guys. Then you’ve got Raw and you got NXT and everything needs to coordinate.

So I can understand if you want to make some plans, kind of in advance and ahead of time. And then when something like this happens, it’s almost like ‘Do I upend everything and change everything? Is this real? Is this gonna last?’ So in a way I get the trepidation.

At the same time, there is a point where and I think, maybe now we’ve reached that, where you hear and you see and you understand what’s happening and realize ‘All right, there’s got to be a change of plans.'”

LA Knight Fever Grows As WWE Dance To The Megastar Yeah Tune

Whilst fans in Toronto focused on giving Edge a deserved farewell last Friday on Smackdown, they did not expect to see LA Knight defeated by Austin Theory following interference by The Miz.

The sell out crowd popped loudly as Knight’s music hit and joined in every possible moment as the former Impact World Champion spoke to the Scotiabank Arena audience and it certainly felt like everyone in attendance was saying LA Knight Yeah.

Knights popularity has seen fans calling for Triple H to back The Megastar, with question marks raised after he was not successful at July’s Money In The Bank, or on Friday against Theory, in a match that would have guaranteed a shot at the United States Championship.

With LA Knight dominating shirt sales, it appears that there is no slowing down a Superstar that has successfully tapped into Attitude Era playbook with tributes to The Rock and Steve Austin in his promos and matches.
