Kevin Nash Addresses If He Has Heat With WWE Champion
Kevin Nash isn’t afraid to speak his mind even when it comes to current WWE stars holding championship titles.
As a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who had successful runs as Diesel and using his own name, Kevin Nash is known for speaking his mind and not being shy when he does it.
It was last summer in July 2023 when Nash claimed that rising WWE superstar LA Knight was nothing more than a “ripoff of The Rock.”
When LA Knight took a shot at Nash during a promo on WWE Smackdown, Kevin Nash responded by saying that Knight was nothing more than a “bottom feeder” while continuing to criticize him.
That was then and this is now because Nash saw Knight at SummerSlam in Cleveland. Nash was in attendance with other WWE Hall of Famers like Diamond Dallas Page, Rick & Scott Steiner, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman and others
While speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Nash revealed that he had a cordial conversation with Knight at SummerSlam while confirming there was no heat there, which means no issues between them.
“So LA Knight was sitting at the end of the table. I sat down at the table behind him, he turned around and I just said, ‘So, you finally getting to go over tonight?’ He goes, ‘Something like that.’”
“We talked and I asked, he was working with Logan Paul, I just asked how it was to work with Paul. Is he a natural, is he paint by numbers?”
“He just gave me his opinion on how he handled the situation, not for me to explain on this show because I don’t want Logan Paul and his relationship to be verified or injured by comments that I make that I might have construed differently than it was meant to be said to me. He seemed like a really nice guy, there was no heat between us.”
Kevin Nash made it clear he wasn’t trying to hurt Knight with his comments.
“No. No, at that point, nobody is f**king trying to hurt anybody in this business. I wasn’t trying to take food off his table.”
Kevin Nash Wants WWE To Excel
The conversation continued with Kevin Nash making it clear that he wants WWE to exceed, which isn’t a shock since he’s close friends with WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H, who is running the show and believes strongly in current stars like LA Knight.
“Other people have mocked my words to him in promos on their television. I’d rather be the guy being talked about than the guy not being talked about, that’s just the way I look at it.”
“If I’m talking about you, cause I can talk about anybody I want in wrestling. There’s a bunch of dead guys I can talk s**t about that could never rebuttal any of that. But, to me, this new breed of guys, I’m not trying to piss anyone off. I want the company to excel.”
As WWE fans know, LA Knight got the biggest win of his career so far when he beat Logan Paul for the US Title at SummerSlam in Cleveland.
