Kenny Omega Says WWE Legend Is Most Complete Wrestler Of All Time
Kenny Omega opens up about his admiration of a WWE Hall of Famer.
Despite being regarded as one of the best wrestlers on the planet, Kenny Omega is determined to keep learning.
While the star is currently out of action after being diagnosed with diverticulitis back in December, his interest in wrestling is as keen as ever. On a recent Twitch stream, Omega rewatched Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio from SummerSlam 2002 and gave his thoughts on the match.
The former AEW World Champion gave his own rating for the match and explained why he feels five-star ratings shouldn’t be handed out “like candy.” During the analysis, Omega dived into his admiration of Angle, describing him as the most complete wrestler in history.
“I do think Kurt Angle is the greatest…I can’t even say in-ring. For me, he’s the most complete wrestler of all time. He’s my favorite. He’s my go to guy to study. Being an athletic guy who wants to be able to mesh well and compliment every wrestling style, but also, anyone who is familiar, I’m not afraid to embarrass myself or do silly things. That’s what I loved a lot about what Kurt did on TV,”
Plans For Kenny Omega’s AEW Return Remains Uncertain
Kenny Omega is set to miss several months of action after being diagnosed with diverticulitis. The former World Champion had been in pain for several weeks but initially didn’t realise the severity of his situation.
In recent weeks the man himself has admitted he faces a battle to return to the ring, refusing to put a timeline on his recovery. Although he’s continued to train as much as possible so he can be ready whenever given the all clear.
A recent report explained that Kenny Omega could still require surgery, although no decision on his treatment has been taken.
